Walter Sapp: His experiences in World War II, as told in his own words

On March 16, 2012 Walter Sapp sat down and told of his experiences in World War II. Walter, born in Jacksonville, FL and raised in Mt. Vernon, OH, served with Co.C, 1st Battalion, 310th Infantry Regiment of the 78th Infantry Division. He gives a good account of an infantry man, as he tells about being in the Battle of the Bulge, one of the first to cross the Rhine River at Remagen and in Berlin at teh war's end as a 19 year old standing on the balcony where Hitler once stood at the Reichs Chancellery. After the war, Walter returned home, went to college and would go on to have a 50+ year career as a landman in the oil industry. He has two children, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
